A set of guidelines for how the Skycastle wiki should be constructed, edited, and maintained.

[edit] Edit Rights
Anonymous edits have been disabled to prevent spam attacks.
The sidebar and top links are editable from a special Sidebar page, but they require admin rights, so ask User:zzorn if you want to make some changes there.
[edit] Space Separated Page Names
We use Space Separated Page Names instead of WikiWordStylePageNames, because the former are prettier and easier to read.
Title capitalization is used (normal words are capitalized, but filler words like 'the' or 'a' are not capitalized).
[edit] Singular Concepts
Singular is used by default for article names for (game design) concepts, e.g. Info Object, Design, Entity.
[edit] Editing
Try to keep things organized and easy to find, discuss with existing project members if you are unsure about some changes.
Use categories to group similar pages.
Please feel free to edit things if you spot obvious corrections, or to add e.g. your own feature ideas, but use the talk pages or email / irc to discuss about more radical changes to existing pages.

This wiki is Mediawiki, you should use appropriate syntax for editing pages.

The available templates are listed in the Templates Category.
[edit] Highlight
You can use various templates to mark up text in different situations.

[edit] Marking up pages
There are a some templates derived from the Template:Infobox that can be used to add a note at the top of a page. Two common ones are Stub and Cleanup.
[edit] Features
Pages describing a feature can be marked with one of the Feature Templates.
[edit] Provide a Summary of Edits
Leave a comment in the Summary -field when you edit a page. It makes it easier to follow the recent changes feed e.g. as a RSS. Use the minor edit check box if the edit doesn't deserve an own comment and RSS entry.
